IASCA hosts U.S. Representative Darin LaHood

On August 13th U.S. Representative Darin LaHood took the opportunity to tour IASCA President Sarah Gardner’s Center for Orthopedic Medicine in Bloomington Illinois.
Representative LaHood supported the ASC Payment Transparency Act that recently passed the U.S. House of Representatives, and was eager to learn more about the benefits that ASCs bring to his constituents, and the importance of keeping ASCs competitive with fair and transparent reimbursement.
IASCA conveyed that support for the ASC model was consistent with Representative’s LaHood’s healthcare priorities with respect to consumer choice in services, and the personal nature of healthcare decisions. Discussion was highly productive, and IASCA thanks Representative LaHood for supporting ASCs through his vote on the ASC Payment Transparency Act.
