IASCA Comments on ASC & Outpatient Payment Rule
posted: September 28, 2018
Earlier this summer, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a proposed rule on ASC and hospital outpatient department (HOPD) reimbursement. The proposal contained a number of items that would be beneficial to the ASC industry at large, including the updating of alignment factors to be consistent with HOPDs.

IASCA took the opportunity to comment on the proposed rule to ensure that the voice of Illinois ASCs was included in discussion of the rule, and to amplify our national association’s own voice.
