IASCA Asserts “ASTCs’ Unique Role” During Healthcare Emergency

In March 25, 2020, correspondence with Governor JB Pritzker, IASCA President Sarah Gardner, CASC, explained that “ASTCs’ unique role in the healthcare delivery system must be leveraged to our state’s best advantage with growing concern that hospitals may be overwhelmed by a surging number of infected patients and localized shortages of personal protective equipment.”
The letter concludes: “...we stand ready to work with you, the state government, local governments, and all our colleagues in the healthcare system to provide needed care during these challenging times.”
